Dr. Shahid Waheed ,a food scientist & nutritionist, has wide range of research fields in human food particularly cereals, edible oils , meat, chicken and eggs.
He graduated from University of Agriculture Faisalabad. After M.Phil. in Animal Nutrition, he served Feed industry since 2002. Later during 2013- 2019, he completed Ph.D in Food Science and Technology from University of Karachi. His research theme was natural polyphenolic extracts use as antioxidant in food. He worked on many parameters of Polyphenols as antioxidants in laboratories of Foid science & PCSIR Karachi. Later he used the natural antixidants in Edible oils , and Broiler chicken feeds.
He published four Impact factor publications during research.
Being an expert , animal nutritionist and industry working person, he has vast experience of working on Cereal grain, value protein sources like Egg, milk and meat.
He is honoured to be invited for lectures, knowledge , nutritional awareness sessions in different universities, media and international conferences.As a combination of Food and Nutrition, acedemia and industry, his knowledge of Foods, especially used in industry and human foods is unique, particularly produced from animal sources.
Dr. Shahid has a good food quality testing Laboratory experience. He worked on analysis & testing of raw foods like Cereals, Lentils, meat &egg, milk for nutrients like amino acids, fats, minerals, vitamins& polyphenolic natural compounds. He had worked for tracibility of mycotoxins, shelf life and chemical adultrants in foods.
